Planned Litters

We put all litters through the Early Scent Introduction (ESI) and Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS or "Super Dog") programs for Neonate Puppies. These two programs have been proven to 1. improve their adult scenting ability and 2.

Five benefits have been observed in canines that were exposed to the Bio Sensor stimulation exercises. The benefits noted were:

  1. Improved cardio vascular performance (heart rate)

  2. Stronger heart beats

  3. Stronger adrenal glands

  4. More tolerance to stress

  5. Greater resistance to disease          Here are links to those articles:  (ESI) & (ENS).

Tail Docking
Dew Claws

We Dock tails when the pups are 1-2 days old using the banding method. We don't remove the dewclaws, there is research out there that says removing the dewclaws can cause more harm than good. Here is a very interesting article, a video of a dog playing and a dog working in the field.

We are very excited about this upcoming litter between Lenore & Enno. This will be a total outcross so there will not be any line breeding in this litter. Lenore is a sweet hunting dog that has finished her conformation title in the show ring. She comes from field trial lines and does very well hunting in the open country, but is still a nice foot hunting dog range. The pups from her first litter are showing lots of promise in the field and ring. Enno is a German import with an amazing coat and sweet temperament who has points towards his conformation title in the show ring. His lines have completed the German field dog standards which are very challenging. The German import dogs tend to hunt more methodically and closer ranges than field trial dogs. The pups from his first litters are showing lots of promise also (one son won the show futurity for males at nationals only being 7 months old). This should be an excellent match between these two for the foot hunter wanting an easy handling dog with perfect range. These pups should have excellent temperaments, natural retrieve, a willingness to please, good swimmers, huntability, with good coats.
